Evidence Stewardship and Regulatory Memory for Adaptive Governance
Short description
Regulatory lessons can disappear when staff leave, records become scattered or evidence cannot be traced. This project investigates how institutions preserve knowledge and reuse it across teams, jurisdictions and successive rounds of regulation.
The researcher will study how ministries, supervisory bodies and standard-setting organisations build institutional memory. The work will develop documentation and stewardship practices that record where evidence comes from and make it easier to transfer and use responsibly.

What the project involves
- Investigate how institutions create, preserve and lose regulatory knowledge.
- Develop a model for recording the origins and history of regulatory evidence.
- Test evidence-transfer protocols and stewardship templates, contributing to the REGULAIRE Observatory.
