Sebastian Schwemer

Sebastian Felix Schwemer is Professor of Law and Technology at BI Norwegian Business School, where he co-directs the Nordic Center for Internet and Society. He is also Associate Professor (on leave) at the Centre for Information and Innovation Law (CIIR) at the University of Copenhagen, where he previously served as Director. His research addresses the regulation of technology and the ways technology itself regulates behaviour, including digital copyright, platform regulation, content moderation, algorithmic governance and automation. He advised the European Commission on the revision of the e-Commerce Directive (the Digital Services Act) and received the Tietgen Prize in 2018.
