Regulatory Delearning in EU Technology Governance
Short description
Rules can remain in place after the conditions that justified them have changed. This project studies how institutions in the EU and EEA identify, revise or retire outdated rules governing technology.
The researcher will examine legislation, standards and soft law, including review and sunset clauses, through legal analysis and comparative cases. The work asks how regulatory reform can respond to technological change while maintaining safeguards, accountability and legal certainty.
