Apply through the recruiting university’s official vacancy announcement and follow its submission instructions. Each REGULAIRE project page will link to the relevant announcement when it opens. Positions will also be advertised on EURAXESS. An email or CV sent to the network does not constitute an application.

Recruitment is planned for autumn 2026. Universities may advertise at different times, with different deadlines and intended start dates. “Job advert coming soon” means that the university announcement has not yet been linked here. The deadline in each official advertisement applies.

The university vacancy notices will explain the conditions for applying. If you apply for several projects, follow each university’s submission procedure and tailor your application to the project concerned. Check the recruitment guidance as vacancies open for any network-wide application limit.

Relevant fields include law, computer science, design, communication, political science, public policy, economics and sociology. The appropriate background and methods depend on the project. Read its description and the host university’s doctoral admission requirements.

You will need a Master’s degree, or an equivalent qualification that gives access to doctoral study, by the start date. Check the university advertisement for when evidence of completion must be supplied. State your expected completion date clearly.

Yes. MSCA Doctoral Network positions are open to applicants of any nationality. You must satisfy the academic and mobility requirements and the immigration requirements for taking up the position.

In general, you must not have lived or carried out your main activity, such as work or study, in the recruiting institution’s country for more than 12 months during the 36 months immediately before recruitment. Eligibility is assessed for each recruiting country. Nationality alone does not determine eligibility; ask the recruiting university to assess any complex residence history.

No. You must not hold a doctoral degree at recruitment. Applicants who have successfully defended a doctoral thesis are also ineligible, even if the degree has not yet been formally awarded.

Follow the university advertisement’s checklist. Applications are expected to include a CV, academic credentials, references and a short research proposal engaging with the project. The final document requirements, proposal length and submission format are set by the recruiting university.

English is the network’s working language. You should be able to discuss research and write academically in English. A university or project may require particular language evidence or an additional language for fieldwork; check the vacancy announcement.

Yes. The university advertisement will set out salary, applicable allowances, employment benefits and contract terms. MSCA funding contributions are not the same as take-home pay. Conditions differ between countries and institutions, so use the university’s salary information when assessing a position.

Most positions are planned as full-time appointments of 36 months. The two BI projects envisage 48 months, including 25% teaching duties and 36 MSCA-funded research months. The official university advertisement will confirm the final arrangements.

You will be based at the host university named on your project page. You will also take part in shared network training and a planned secondment with a partner organisation. The university will confirm the location and timing of the secondment.
